Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. The following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file: Catherine Plummer - 16 Manning Street The following Granite Curbing applications received, approved and placed on file: Blanche Abbott - 109 Green St. Catherine Doherty - 111It '11 Joseph Miller - 10$ It " Letter received from W. P.A. Recreation Project requesting ' permission to play softball on Birch Meadow on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and F*iday evenings during May, June, July, August and September, 1941. Voted to grant dates as requested. Voted to complete Granolithic Sidewalks abutting Lowell St. School which were left unfinished by the W. P. A. Received letter from Grace Abbott of 14 Bancroft Ave, requesting that the common sewer be extended so that her house may be connected tereto, Board will investigate possibilities of extending the sewer as requested. Voted to abate the April 1941 water bill of Charles Gorus of 106 Orange St. in the amount of $3.33. Received petition from eleven abuttors on Hopkins St, east of Main St, requesting that a sidewalk be constructed on one side of Hopkins St, from Main St, easterly to the Wakefield Town Line. 123 Matter taken under consideration. Rresent layout very narrow. New layout will be prepared. Hearing at 8:00 P.M. under the Board of Survey on the approval of proposed lines and grades for Milton Road, Wentworth Rd, and Lewis St, extension to County Rd. Following persons present: Mr. Frank Merrill, representing Ruth Mathews. Mr. Merrill recorded in favor. It was moved and seconded the lines and grades as proposed be approved. Motion carried four to one. 'Mr. Seer requested that he be recorded as opposed to the approval. Voted to write Chairman'of-Finance Committee requesting that he invite various Town Boards to meet as a group to discuss , the problems facing the Town caused by the several real estate developments now under way in Reading. - Hearing at 8:30'P.M, under the Board of Survey on the approval of proposed lines and grades for Causeway Rd. from Lowell St, to a point approximately 942 ft, southerly. Following persons present: Wm. J. Munroe - In favor Annie M. Caldwell - If if James Saunders - If " Leo De Rosa - It " Florence A. Darling- " If Frank T. Darling - " " John Caldwell - In favor by letter Frank Flynn, representing B. & M. R.R. - No objections It was moved and seconded that the proposed lines and grades , be approved. 124 Motion carried unanimously.
