HomeMy WebLinkAbout1941-04-21 Board of Public Works Minutes I MR 121 Reading, Mass., April 21, 1941 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened , at 7:30 P.M.. Messrs. Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Mr. Lindsay acted as chairman. Board voted to purchase a 3/4 Yd. Bay Cith Power Shovel from the R.G.Robinson Co, at the net bid price of 09,300.00. Voted to authorize the Superintendent to sign a contract for the above shovel with the R.G.Robinson Company. Mr. Levasseur of 128 Eaton Street to see Board in regard to cleaning rocks off his land abutting Eaton Street, which he claims washed off the filling. , Voted to employ the J.H.Tredennick Co, to paint the inside and outside of the Bare Hill Standpipe for the price of $p1725.00. Signed lot layout plans for Milton Road, Lewis St. Extension and Wentworth Road. Voted to write Mr. Levassear to the effect that Board will clean up his property abutting the slope on Eaton Street providing he signs easement for a one to one slope with an English type wall at the foot.
