119 Reading, Mass„ April 14, 1941 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Davis, Brophy, Lindsay,- Lothrop, Tear and Super- intendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. - Received letter from Mr. A.M. Lenfest requesting extension of sewer so that their property at 5 & 7 Grand St, can be connected to the sewer. Matter taken under advisement. Following granolithic sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file. - Richadd Judkins - - 12 Priscilla Rd. Henry Manley - 20 Manning St. Henry Manlyy - 22 It 11 Ralph Nelson - 194 Pleasant St.-Includes Pleasant St. , and Garden Rd, frontages, Following granite curbing applications received, approved and placed on file. Richard Judkins - 12 Priscilla Road. Votmd to accept offir of Texaco Co, to adjust existing con- tract so that the Department rating will b e changed fvms Commercial Tank Car price plus one half cent to Commercial Consumer Tank Wagon price. This will save Department eight tenths of a cent per gallon of gas. Voted to authorize Superintendent to sign offer from Texaco Co. Hearing at 8:00 P.M, on following underground and p©le locations. 7 new poles on West Hill Circle Underground conduit locations in Westcroft Rd. Coolidge ' Rd, and Springvale Rd. Following persons present: Mr. George McSheehy Mr, Harold Swanson Mrs. Harold Swanson. 120 All above in favor of locations as proposed. ' Locations granted. Mr. Lanin, of Tractors Inc. , saw Board in regard to his Company' s bid on Power Shovel. Voted to install granolithic sidewalks around the westerly sections of the common.
