Reading, Mass., December 2, 1940
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:00 P.M.
Messrs. Davis, Putnam, Lindsay, Williamson and Superin-
tendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Hearing at 7:00 P. M. on the extension of the sewer on
Sunnyside Avenue from Prescott St, to. Echo Ave. 270 ft, thence
westerly on Echo Ave. 170 ft.
Following persons present.
Mr. Andrew Chirstenson - Against
Mr. Harold Christenson - Against
Mr. Willard Tucker - Against
Mr. Amos M. McLean - Against
Mr. E. F. Greenleaf, repres-
enting E.B.Sherman - In favor '
Mrs. Bertha L. Lincoln - Against
Mrs. Ethel Norton - Against ,
Six properties represented, one in favor, five against.
Board recessed to attend Town Meeting at 7:45 P. M.
Meeting rec -nvened at 8:40 P. M.
Motion made and seconded that the sewer be extended as
covered by the hearing.
Motion passed 3 to 1.
Signed following pole locations:
Poles abandoned and removed as per plan - V - 27 - 7.
Several Pole locations previously granted but never used.
Cancelled as per list dated Nov. 5, 1940;

' Several pole locations changed from single ownership to
joint ownership as per plan V - 27 - 1.
Several pole locations changed from single ownership to
joint ownership as per plan V - 27 - 2L.
Several pole locations changed from single ownership to
joint ownership as per plan V - 27 - 2.
Several existing pole locations on Glen Road changed from
private way locations to public way locations as per plan V-27-3.
Received letter from Reading Ravens IIockey Club requesting
dates for Hockey Games at Sturges Rink.
Permit to be granted for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday
' evening's and Sunday afternoons from 3:30 P. M. to 6:00 P. M, with
stipulation that should any other team apply for dates in the future
' it will be necessary to revoke some of the dates granted to the Read-
ing Ravens Hockey Club.
Board adjourned 9:45 P.M.
