Messrs, Davis, Putnam, Brophy, Williamson and Superin- tendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Letter received from Irene Sztucinski, 89 Main St. , re- questing use of Memorial Park barn for a Barn Dance to be held on October 25, 1940, Board feels Barn is not safe for such purposes. Letter received from W,F,Cummings, Chief Engineer, B. & M. Railroad, regarding the parking area at the Reading Station. He states he will investigate the matter soon. Voted abatement of ($6.70 on the sewer bill of Rev. James Mulligan at 171 Woburn Street . Received signed release from Mary Emerson, covering taking made for Draingge purposes through her lands abutting Franklin St. Voted following pole locations: Poles4 to )1.O_ inclusive on the l4est side of Haverhill St, between Franklin St, and Granger Ave. , changed from Town of Reading to J,O. between Town of Reading and N.E.Tel. & Tel. Co. Voted to buy a Dodge one and one half ton truck chassis from the Carleton Walsh Co. Received and signed W.P.A. application for Farm-to-Market W.P.A.
