Reading, Mass., October 7, 1940
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Davis, Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay, Willismson and Super-
intendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Mr'. Lavassear to see Board in regard to grade of new road
abutting his land on Eaton Street.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on petition of New Eng. Tol. & Tel.
Co. for underground conduits in Summer Ave, and Woburn St. From a
manhole on Summer Ave. 132 ft, northerly from Woburn St, to a manhole
at the Southwesterly intersection of Woburn St. sod Summer Avenue.

Petition granted.
At the request of this Board, Mr. Tanner, Chairman School
Committee, and Mr. Grover, Supt, of Schools, visited Board in regard
to possibility of erecting bleachers on Junior High Field to obviate
the necessity of moving Washington St, bleachers to and from Junion High
Field each year. They will consider the matter for their 1941. budget.
Board considered possibility of relocating meter at Reading
Custom Laundry.
Board adjourned at 10:00 P. M.
