Messrs, Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay, Williamson and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved, Mr, Harold Christensen to see Board in regard to damage to greenhouses abutting Washington St, Park, Requested Board to extablish official closing hour for Washington St, Park, Board voted to officially close Washington St. Park each evening at dark. Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on the installation of granolithic - sidewalks on the following streets: Sanborn St. - Lowell St, to Woburn St. Woburn St. - Sanborn St, to Linden St. Linden St. - Woburn St, to Mt. Vernon St, and from Woburn St, approx. 2$0 - Southerly. Following persons present: . Gene#ieve B. Kingman - In favor Mildred Barton, representing Carrie E. Blood - Leland Kingman - Albert P. Webber, representing Baptist Church - William H. Pillam - Against Frank Brown - Non Committal Helen F. Brown - it Arline I4. P. A. Projects at the Union Building during the week of May 20. Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file. A. E. Crawford - 16 Puritan Road Mary Davis - - 11 Pearl St. - H. L. Leighton - 15 Priscilla Road Following Granite Curbing applications received, approved and placed on file H. L. Leighton - 15 Priscilla Road A. E. Crawford - 16 Puritan Road Received application from abutters on Pilgrim Road for accept- ance of Pilgrim Road as a Public Way. Matter will be taken up at Regular Town Meeting in 1941. ' Received letter from Mr. Bloom, Proprietor of Reading Custom Laundry requesting action on his letter of March 21, 1940. Matter postponed to May 24, 1940. Voted to advertise for bids for 12" Co I. Pipe for Grove St. W. P. A. Water Plain Project. Voted to buy fittings for check valve at Pumping Station NO. 2. Voted to notify the owners at 103 Oak St. to refrain from direc- ting overflow from cesspool into Catch Basin in street. Voted permit to Catholic Youth Organization to play baseball on Washington St. Park Sunday afternoon May 19, 1940. Voted permit to Reading Town Team to play baseball on Washington St. Park Sunday afternoon May-26, 1940. I 4'7. Voted permit to Catholic Youth Organization to play baseball on Washington St. nark every Thursday evening until further notice. Voted permit to Community Baseball League to play baseball on Washington St. Park every Monday and Wednesday evening until furthur notice. Voted to extend loam contract with Wm, Kelch & Son from 300 c.y' s to 500 c. . y' s fro garage lawn.
