HomeMy WebLinkAbout1925-10-16 Board of Public Works Minutes October 16, 1925. Members present: John W. Owen, Joseph W. Booth, Frank Carter, M. C. Higgins ani the b'uperintendent. Mr. Evans of Howard Street came before the Board and asked that a short section of side walk be constructed on his street. Mr. Collins was instructed to do this work as soon as he could. The Board acting as a Board of Survey approved the plan of _ Gardiner Road and Ide Street as presented by Geo. W. Ide. It was voted to purchase a 22" power, lawn mower from the Park Dept. appropriation. The cost is $255. Mr. Shepard of Pearl Street discussed with the Board the pro- posed water service to his property on Pearl St. Two property owners on Temple Street discussed with the Board the drainage situation on that street. The superintenaent was instructed to look over the situation and report to the Board. Two citizens residing on Beach Street came before the Board and asked that the street be repaired. The. Superintendent was instructed to inspect the street and, make a report to the Board. Two delegations from Summer Ave. between Main St. and the Wakefield line came before the Board, relative to the road conditions. One delegation wanted the road repaired so that it would be safe for travel and reasonably free from standing water during a storm. The other delegation wanted the street relocated in accordance with old plans made by the county commissioners and did not want the road touched if this was not to be done. Mr. Collins was instructed to inspect the street and report to the Board. `r Respectfully submitted X� Secretary.
