Frank C. Goddard of 44 Scotland Road complains, by letter, of the road conditions on Sigsbee Ave, and Scotland Road. The Superintendent was instructed to put the two streets in condition in the course of his spring work. Mr. Goddard was informed of the intention of the Board. g yI The purchase of one Yodel F 2 cylinder Autocar, price `%2851 50 complete with dumping body and cab, was approved. The Superintendent was informed that it is the wish of the Board that he attend the Reserve Officers Training Camp at Camp Devens next suzvner without loss of his regular vacation. The purchase of a band saw, which was approved at the last meeting, was deferred because of excessive cost. The Eastern Mass. Street Railway has informed the Board that they will bond the track near the ,junction of Washington and Elliot Streets for us providing we stand the expense. The Superintendent was instructed to have the work done at once. The Superintendent was instructed to communicate with Albert Temple in regard to improving the northeast corner of Summer Ave. and rrescott Street. This matter was brought up about a year ago but no action was taken. �„ The Town Counsel met with the Board and discussed the 255 L Smith-Chamberlain suit against the Tovai. The Board is to meet with the Law Committee on Friday evening, March 20th, regarding this case azul the Landry case. Trio Board discussed the plans for the seasons work on the highways. It was voted to let out the water main construction on Libby Ave. and Forest Street to contractors. It was also voted that the reconstruction of the John Street drain be let out and that th�Sprojectk be under the supervision of Barbour and Dixon. It was voted to have the Superintendent prepare bids for the construction of 'a tar sidewalk and granite edge stones on Summer Ave. abuting the Unitarian Church property. It was voted to request the engineer for the County Commissioners to locate the street lines on Forest Street. It is necessary that this work be done before the water mains are put in. It was voted to request the Town Counsel to furnish this Board with proper release forms to be signed by abutters on Forest Street when survey is completed. A request was received from Ur. Shepardson, on king St. , for a sewer connection to his property. It was estimated that the cost to the Town would be about $930.00 and as there would not be any other entrances by this expenditure it was not con- sidered advisable. '.:r.
