HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-12-19 Board of Public Works Minutes December 19, 1924.
Members present: George H. Clough, Joseph :7. Booth, John
W. Owen, Frank Carter, Miles C. Higgins and the Superintendent.
Appropriations for different departments for 1925 were
discussed.
Mr Chamberlain again appeared before the Board requesting
permission to erect a sign on his property, that would overhang
the sidewalk. Our answer was delayed pending advise from the
Town Counsel to whom the matter has been referred.
L..r. Collins reports that the snow removing equipment
belonging to the Town is in first class condition and that the
F. W. D. truck, loaned us by the State for clearing N. Main and
Lowell Streets, is in our possession and in excellent condition.
Edw. Frost has submitted a price of v6 .00 per hour for
the use of his five ton Mack truck for snow plowing. This is
a fair price and no doubt the department will hire this equip-
ment when there is need of it.
Respectfully submitted,
