HomeMy WebLinkAbout1924-09-26 Board of Public Works Minutes Gi .A ,September 26, 1924. Members present: Joseph W. Booth, John Owen, Frank Carter, and Miles C. Higgins. Mrs. R. B. Temple, 50 Hill Crest Road, appeared before the Board and made an urgent request for a sewer connection as soon as possible. This will require a sewer on Hill Crest Road, of approximately two hundred sixty feet from Howard Street, in the direction of Scotland Road. The approximate cost, at three dollars per foot, would be $780.00. Four hundred ninety feet of frontage on this street could be assessed for betterments from such construction at seventy cents per foot, which would produce $343.00. A communication was received from w. Minot Hurd, attorney for Edward. C. Gordon who is administrator of the estate of Catherine 6. Gordon. Catherine 6. Gordon died as a result of injuries said to have been caused by a defect in the highway at Main and Mill Streets, on July 28, 1924, at six o'clock P. M. Edward C. Gordon, Administrator , through his attorney claims damages of the Town for the injuries and death. The letter was forwarded to the Town Counsel.
