Home My WebLink About1924-08-22 Board of Public Works Minutes REPORT OF BOARD OF PUBLIC 'WORKS IEETIEG AUGUST 22nd. 1924. Present , Mr. Clough, Idr. Owen, mr. Booth, Mr. Carter. The financial report , and reports on the progress of the Highway and ':Dater Depts. were handed in by the Superintendent. Mrs. Steele met with the Board in relation to County Road, to see what could be done on said street to make same safe for travel. The con- clusion which was reached was that the Board would ask the Town Councilors to ascertain the status of said street. IlSr, C. A. Loring and Mr. 0. B. Ruggles, met also with the Board to see if the town would help construct a curbing along Slimmer Ave, from Woburn at. West along the property of the new church at the corner. The Board instructed Mr. Loring and Ruggles that the town would do nothing further than pay half the cost of a tar concrete sidewalk and whatever else the church property desired, they would have to stand at their own expense.
