Members present: Geo. H. Clough, Joseph W. Booth,
John 'A. Owen, Frank Carter, Miles 0. Higgins, axed the Super-
intendent.
The Superintendent informed the Board that the
Malden and Melrose Gas Company were not properly replacing
streets that have been opened to make house connections.
The Superintendent was instructed to notify the Gas Company
that no more permits would be granted until the holes were
taken care of properly.
Mrs. Steele residing on County Road asks that re-
pairs be made on that street. She states that if repairs
` are not made, the matter will be taken to higher authorities.
No action was taken.
Mrs. Daniel and Whittemore representing the Read-
ing Women's Club came before the Board in regard to the Town .
appropriation for the Playground and its supervision. The
Women's Club will supervise the work at the Playground as last
year. The method of taking care of Playground expenditures
was fully explained to the Women's Club representatives.
Mr. Richard Nichols and four other residents of the
district served_ by the recent sewer addition came before the
Board in regard to detail concerning house connections. It
was found that no provision had been made for sewer entrances
L from two houses on South Main Street about midway between

Park and Minot Streets. To make sewer entrances i.uto: these
two houses, it was
Voted: To extend the sewer on South Main Street
approximately three hundred feet.
