Higgins, and the Super- intendent. Signed Clinton Foundry Co. contract for furnishing sewer cover, frames, and steps to be used in sewer construction. Their bond was not received and the contract was not delivered. Signed and delivered contract with Angelo Susi & Co. for sewer construction. Their bond for $10,000 with the Ameri- can Indemnity Co, received.. Signed and delivered. contract with Antony Cefalo for storm water drains. His bond for $10,000 with the New Amster- dam Casualty Co. received. �W Permit issued to Malden and Melrose Gas Light Co. to open Haven Street from their gas main to #16 Haven Street to lay pipe for gas service. Municipal Light Department given permit to move pole #41/9 on High Street, twelve feet westerly. No hearing neces- sary. Mrs. Carter representing residents on Forest Street came before the Board urging that something be done as soon as possible to improve the road conditions on Forest Street. Nothing definite was promised, but she was informed that the matter would receive attention in its regular order. The Superintendent was instructed to drag and. fill in on the back roads as much as possible in the next few days, road v conditions permitting. This order was intended to include 4 Page No. 2 4/4/24 Forest Street. The Superintendent was also instructed to go over the roads generally as far as time would permit and make a lay-out for the spring repair work. A list of materials needed for water extensions with their estimated cost was presented by the Superintendent. Per- mission was given to order these materials. Permission was given the Reading Baseball Association to charge admission to games played by them on the Town Field; also, to use the Town Field on April 19th for a Field nay, pro- vided the High School Baseball Team did not want the Field for a ball game. The Reading Rubber Manufacturing Co, was advised to hasten their decision as to the size of pipe and meter to be used in connecting their water line to the town service. The matter pertaining to damages to automobile owned by Yr. Haskell of Lynn caused by driving into a hole on Salem Street was referred to the Town Counselor. It was decided to remove the rails of the Eastern Massachusetts Street Ry. Co. on Salem Street. Mr. Thorburn of Bancroft Avenue appeared before the Board asking that Bancroft Avenue from the ,junction of Highland. Street to Tower Road,and Weston Road from Hanscom Avenue to Bancroft Avenue be inspected and aF,proved for acceptance if found satisfactory. Voted to adjourn. Respectfully submitted, �.
