Members present: George H. Clough,
Joseph W. Booth, John W. Owen, Frank Carter, Miles
C. Higgins, and the Superintendent.
George H. Clough was elected Chairman
and Miles C. Higgins, Secretary of the Board.
Petitions of the Municipal Light Department
to erect one new pole on Sweetser Avenue as per Plan
#137 on file and of the Eastern Massachusetts Street
Railway Company for two poles at Barrow's Turnout on
Lowell Street as per plan on file, were granted.
Proposals for "Furnishing and Delivering
L Vitrified Salt-glazed Sewer Pipe" were opened at
eight o'clock. The proposals covered the following
sizes:
Two-foot Lengths Three-foot Lengths
5- - 4550' 8" - 4450'
61�'v 6- - 450' 10" - 325'
G 8- - 1000' 12" - 600'
The prices submitted were as follows:

was subject to 20 Discount for cash payments upon de-
livery of material.

The proposal from Waldo Bros. & Bond was
subject to 2J Discount for cash payments upon de-
livery of material ,. on balance after freight charges
have been deducted.
The proposal of Fred S. Smith was not in'
form and was not accompanied by certified check and
was therefore thrown out.
The proposal of Waldo Bros. & Bond was ac-
cepted.
The proposed meter installation at the Read-
ing Rubber Manufacturing Company was discussed at
length.
