Owen.:) - ti i s r _ ux }moi >' September 28, 1923. Meeting of the Board of Public Works. Present Mr. Clough, Mr. Owen and Mr. Booth. The Supt. was instructed to take out only such rails in the West Street car tracks as absolutely necessary. The Supt. submitted to the Board his schedule of work which he had laid out for different departments to carry on during his absence. The Board suggested that the Supt. make a typewritten copy of this schedule of work which he expected would be done during his absence. ' The Highway Dept. through Mr. Crowe, the Water Dept. through Mr. Putnam, to report at the next meeting of the Board, Friday, October 5th, as to what progress they had made. Special stress was made by the Board on the matter of Lowell St. Sidewalk, it being expecially desirable that it may be made suitable for use as soon as possible, as the schools are now open and the children going back and forth. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 P. M. (Dictated by Mr. Owen. ) 1
