HomeMy WebLinkAbout1923-06-15 Board of Public Works Minutes w4w June lb , 1922. Members present ; George H. Clough, Charles H. VanStone, Joseph W. Booth, John W. Owen, Clarence C. White and the Superintendent. As an official from the Reading Rubber Mfg. Co. did not appear before the Board regarding the excess water used, it was decided to notify them that a detector 8 inch meter would be installed on the main supply pipe and that they would be charged with the cost Of same. Permission was not granted to the Malden & Melrose Gas Light Company to open Oak Street and North Main Street. Permission was granted the Fourth of July Committee to erect a sign over the "Reading" sign on the Common. A consultation was held with the Town Counsel, Judge Morton, regarding the standing and responsibility of this Board on bridge approaches and jitney franchisee. Voted; To adjourn. 44e Secretary. A►
