HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922-07-28 Board of Public Works Minutes sl July 28, 1522. Lfembers present: George H. Clough, Charles E. VanStone, John W. Owen, Clarence C. White and the Super- intendent. The method of handling the apportionments of assessments for sewer betterments was discussed at some length. It was decided to have a statement prepared, shoeing the names of those applying for apportionment, together with the amount due each year with interest at 6% on the unpaid balances from L`.^.y 15, 1922. This statement is to be signed by the Board of Public Works and the Assessors , and given to the Collector of Taxes. This action was approved by Lir. 2.11orton, Town Counsel. Voted: To notify the Eastern Mass. St. Ry. Co. to remove tracks and wires of abandoned lines in the Town of Reading. If this is not done , and said tracks and wires are removed by the Town, the expense is to be collected from the said Eastern Mass. St. Ry. Co. Voted: To grant the petition of the Municipal Light Department to erect one pole on Elm Street, as per plan 4104 , after a public hearing held on this date. Voted: To adjourn. ---- cretary.
