HomeMy WebLinkAbout1922-06-02 Board of Public Works Minutes June 2 , 1922. Members present: George H. Clough, Charles H. VanStone, Frederick W. Allen, John W. Owen, Clarence C. White and the Superintendent. On application of Mr. Nauss of Hill Crest Road for a rebate of sewer assessment, it was decided that levels are such that he can enter the sewer from any part of his house but the basement, and that under the existing law, the Board cannot grant a rebate of assessment. letter from the Town Planning Board, regarding street signs and street bounds on property occupied by Rich's Market, was read and placed on file. The letter of the Board of Health, regarding the property owned by Mrs. Richmond at 8 and 10 Woburn Street and garage owned by Mrs. Nellie S. Kendall, stating that these properties are a public nuisance, not having entered the sewer , was referred back to that Board for them to issue orders to said property owners to enter the sewer and apply to this Board for connection. Mr. Martin Hartshorn offered to give the Town the land over which Gould Avenue runs, provided the Town would accept and rebuild it as a regular street. The Board de- cided that this was not necessary at this time. Voted: That the Superintendent hire men for sewer and other work and pay the prevailing rate per hour. Voted: To adjourn. i - � Secretary.
