Members present: George H. Clough, Charles H.
VanStone, Frederick W. Allen, John W. Owen, Clarence C.
White and the Superintendent,
Mr. Turner of the Reading Wet Wash laundry
appeared before the Board and appealed for relief from
the excessive annual expense in both the Water and Sewer
Departments, caused by the large amount of water used for
the laundry. After discussion it was decided, that under
the existing laws, there was no way in which this Board
could relieve him.
Voted: That no permits shall be granted, except
by action of the Board at a regular or special meeting.
That a record is to be kept of all permits granted, and
when street work is contemplated, all parties holding per-
mits for work in such streets shall be notified that same
will be revoked if not exercised within such notice as may
be given.
Voted: That the Superintendent be instructed to
apply 66% oil and use sand on certain streets on which
Tarvia is not used.
Voted: To adjourn.
