Members present: George H. Clough, Charles H.
VanStone , Frederick W. Allen, John W. Owen, Clarence C.
White and the Superintendent.
?'.r. Owen was requested to see 11r. Barbour, the
Engineer, regarding plans for drainage system for the tovm.
Discussion of highway work.
The Superintendent was instructed to notify Mrs.
Shepardsoi., President o_P the 77oman! s Club , that this Board
has available $6QO for the employment of Supervisors of Play
at the Park for the corning sumrier , andthat the Board will be
glad to have the Ydoman 's Club take charge of the playground
work this summer and to employ Supervisors, subject to the
approval of the Board. They cannot approve the re-employment
of Mr. Bohn.
Voted: To publish in the Reading Chronicle once a
month a notice that during the last of September and through-
out October and November, the Board of Public 14orks is planning
to construct sidewalks as may seem to be most necessary, assess-
ing
ssessing to the abutters one-half the amount expended. Real estate
owners desiring sidewalks constructed under these provisions
are requested to communicate with the Board of Public Worke as
early as possible.
GVoted: To purchase a new steam-roller for the use
of the Highway Department, and that Tar. VanStone be given full _
power in thematter.

Voted: Pot to allow wireless wires across the
streets.
The Board discussed wages of the present employees
of the Street Derart: nt and decided to make no charge at
this time.
Voted: That ','iss $ant 's salary be t14 per week.
