The Board of Public Works, comprised of the
following: George H. Clough, Charles H. VanStone, Frederick
W. Allen, John W. Owen and Clarence C. White, met at the
Town Building on April 26 , 1921. After being sworn in by
Millard F. Charles , Town Clerk, the Board was organized with
George H. Clough as Chairman and Clarence C. White as
Secretary.
On motion it was voted to send letters to the
Board of Selectmen having charge of the Street Department,
the Sewer Commissioners, the Water Commissioners and the
Park Commissioners, informing them that this Board is pre-
'. U 1 pared to take over the work in connection with these various
departments, and asking them to prepare an inventory of all
equipment and supplies on hand, together with a list of
contracts, committments and employees with their compensations,
as per copies on file.
After interviewing Mr. William S. Kineley and the
Supt. of the Highway Work, it was voted to request the Eastern
,lass. St. R. R. Co. to remove the remaining tracks on Woburn
Street from Summer Avenue to West Street.
f, Voted: To instruct the Supt. of Streets to finish
high Street with a seal coat, to lay Tarvia on Minot Street
and to proceed with work on Woburn Street, the expenditure

Voted: That the Street Department discontinue

Voted: That Mr. Owen of the Sewer Department
write to the Metropolitan Water & Sewerage Commission in
regard to the completion of the Reading
extension.
