HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-10-28 Board of Public Works Minutes 182 Reading, Mass. , October 28, 1946 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held after the Special Town Meeting. Messrs. Putnam, Brophy and Superintendent Welch were present. Received letter from Northern Residents requesting loan of truck and driver for November 11, 1946 parade. Agreed to use of truck if they will furnish driver. Received petition from residents ,of Nichols Road requesting that the sewer be extended into Nichols Road. Petition placed on file. Received petition and plan from Tateos Tarpin reouesting approval of proposed driveway locations for proposed garage at 15 High Street. Plan approved with stipulation that owner will install necessary curbing and sidewalks. Considered request of Hamilton Foster that he be relieved of necessity of posting bond guaranteeing roadway excavation in Orchard Road. No action taken. Board adjourned at 10:30 P.M.
