Lindsay, Teer, and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting were read and approved. Following Granite Curbing applications received, approved, and placed on file: Calvin Wood 64 Woburn Street Grace Viall 52 Bancroft Avenue Annie Barker 56 Bancroft Avenue Sartell Prentice 166 Prescott Street Frank Nickerson 302 Summer Avenue George Mussells 48 Bancroft Avenue Harold Abbott 32 Green Street Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file: Otto Quandt 12 Green Street Chester White 14 Green Street George Lehr 16 Green Street Philipp Lehr 18 Green Street Lucy Martin 20 Green Street Mary O'Brien 26 Green Street Harold Abbott 32 Green Street Hattie Metcalf 89 Ash Street Received letter from Reading Greenhouses, Inc. , requesting Board agree to abandon easement for a footpath between Washington Street Park and Warren Avenue. Voted to temporarily block off both ends of footpath. Received letter from State Department Public Works giving tentative allotments for 1946 Chapter 90 Construction as follows : State Town Count Main Street 51 000 2, 500 21 _0 Lowell Street 51000 41500 2, 500 Discussed overcharge on sewer rentals issued to Reading Custom Laundry from October, 1940 to date. Amount of overcharge is $302.72. l bl� Voted to insert Article in next Town Meeting Warrant request- ing Town Meeting to approve a refund of $302.72. Conferred with Mr. Sherburne Watts relative to plans for garage extension. Voted to hold next meeting of Board, May 13, 1946. Mr. Kerans, Malden & Melrose Gas Light Co. , conferred with Board relative to proposed location of gas main, meter box and control conduit in Main Street near Raven Street. This location tentatively approved subject to plan signa- tures by Board at next meeting. Mr. Kerans also submitted new proposed location for gas main in Charles Street between Pearl Street and Wakefield Street. He is to submit a plan which Superintendent will show to absent members to see if it will be approved. Voted to abate $10.00 on April, 1946, water bill of Edward O'Connell of 28 Minot Street. Voted to proceed with erection of flagpole on Common. Superintendent to see if 1945 low bidder still wants job. Voted following pole locations: Mill St. - Poles 62/9 to 62/15 inclusive changed from T. of R. to T.O. Fairview Ave. - Pole 23/1 moved 25 ft. easterly Board adjourned at 9:30 P .M.
