' The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Messrs . Davis, Putnam, Teer and Superintendent Welch were
present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Voted to abate $20.00 on January 1, 1946 water bill of
Douald Squibb, 10 Plymouth Road.
Voted to abate $10. 50 on January 1, 1946 water bill of
Frances Seiler, 8 Woodward Avenue.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on proposed acceptance as a public
way of Cape Cod Avenue from Middlesex Avenue northerly 348. 5 feet.
Following persons present:

Mr. Francis Johnson In favor
Mrs. Lida Johnson In favor
Voted to recommend acceptance to Town.
Signed report of laying out of Cape Cod Avenue, a copy of

Hearing at 8:30 P.M. on proposed acceptance as a public way
Wood End Lane from Cape Cod Avenue westerly 249.18 feet.

The Board of Public Torks of the Town of Reading having determined
and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require the lwjing out
of a town wa; under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of
betterments, substantially- in the location hereinafter described, laving
complied with all requirements of law relating to notice to the owners
of land t�oreof and of a hearing t'.ereon, and having met at t:e time and
place appointed for such hearing and then and there heard all persons
present who desired to be heard, have laid out as a town wa for the use
of the ''own running In a/Northerly direction from the present Town Way
known as N':iddlesex Avenue as accepted gpr11 1, 1678, a distance of
348.50 feet to a dead end, substantiallf as and in the location of a portion
of the Private Ptay I:novm as Cape Cod Avenue, the uoundaries and measure-
ments of said way as so laid out are as follows:
Beginning at a point In the 'Northerly side line

Olt E. a distance of 257.30 feet, measured along
said Northerly side line of Lliddlesox ;venue,
from a atone bound set at the point of intersection
