HomeMy WebLinkAbout1946-02-04 Board of Public Works Minutes 1`46 Reading, Mass . , February 4, 1946 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at j 7:30 P.M. Chairman, Messrs. Putnam, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting were read and approved. Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file: R. B. Parry 28 Puritan Road Following Granite Curb applications received, approved, and placed on file: R. B. Parry 28 Puritan Road Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on proposed relocation of street lines and change of grade on Pearl Street from Wakefield Street and ex- tending southerly toward Charles Street a distance of approximately 1600 feet. (See Plan No. A-13-66) Following persons were present: George A. Tabor In favor of layout but request grade be lowered opposite the northerly section of his property. (Sta. 21+ 50 to 23{50) on Plan No. A-13-66) Willard N. Gleason In favor of general idea but request easterly street line aubtting his property be relocated so as to leave well outside street line. (Sta. 22+50 to 27+50 on Plan No. A-13-66) N. R. Gleason Ditto Willard Gleason F. Bowman In favor Cedarville Trust, Inc. Informed Board by letter from K. S. Keddy, Trees. that they are in favor Mrs. Winifred Dow Informed Board by letter she would be unable to attend hearing and would withhold her opinion until she has a chance to examine plan. Considered Town Meeting Article as proposed by Selectmen covering two additions to Municipal Garage - one for Moth Department and one for Water Department. Met with Finance Committee to consider 1946 Budget. Met with Selectmen to discuss proposed Town Meeting Article mentioned above. Decided to introduce two separate Articles in Town Meeting Warrant - one by Selectmen for Moth Department and ong by Board for Water Department. 149 Board adjourned at 11:30 P .M.
