Reading, Mass. , October 22, 1945
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Messrs . Lindsay, Brophy, Putnam, Teer and Superintendent
Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Considered Capital Budgeting program for years 1946 to 1951.
Voted to install 2 - 4 lamp florescent lights in each office
and 1 - 2 lamp florescent light for drafting table.
Voted to sell old Dia. T. Body and hoist to Harvey Relch
for $25.00.
Voted permission to Reading Boosters Club to occupy Lowell
Street from Salem Street to Woburn Street, Friday evening, November

945, from 7 3 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. for the purpose of holding a
football rally.
Voted to employ Sherburne Watts as the architect for the
extension to the Garage.
Voted permission to Selectmen to hang a "Welcome Home" sign
across Main Street near Woburn Street.

and placed on file:

Received petition containing eighty-one signatures complain-
ing about drainage conditions west of West Street from Lewis Street
to about opposite Fremont Street.
