HomeMy WebLinkAbout1945-05-14 Board of Public Works Minutes 114 Reading, Mass. , May 14, 1945 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M. Messrs . Davis, Lindsay, Brophy, Putnam, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved as corrected. Received letter from Dr. Anderson relative to physical con- dition of George Baxter. Voted to have flagpole on Common painted. Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file: Jetta Wilcox 67 Hillcrest Road William Haley 73 Hillcrest Road John Sias 48 Deering Street Voted to request conference with Selectmen on June 4, 1945 relative to acquiring more space in building. Considered plan of land off Cross Street which is under con- sideration as a possible location for a playground. Voted to seed land in rear of 272 Ash Street as requested by Welfare Board.
