Davis, Lindsay, Teer, Putnam and Superintendent Welch were present. Discussed drainage problems in vicinity of Junior High School Athletic Field. Received and opened bids on a snow loader at 8:00 P.M. Following bids were received: Barber Greene Co. - Model 558 - $3,960.00 f.o.b. Reading, Mass. less 2,% ten days Barber Greene Co. - Model 3 -D $5,380.00 f.o.b. Reading, Mass. less 2%, ten days Tractors, Inc. - Model QR - 10 Nelson - $5,275.00 f.o.b. CliftonNew Jersey Clark, Wilcox - Model 7k Haiss - $5,670.00 f.o.b. Reading, Mass. 1 Tractors, Inc. - Model QS-10 Nelson - $6,275.00 f.o.b. Clifton, New Jersey Meeting temporarily adjourned at 8:15 P.M. while Board met As Board of Survey. Meeting reconvened at 8:25 P .M. Voted to accept offer of land from Strout & Wing so that South east corner of Main & Green Streets dan be rounded on a 12 ft. radius . Voted abatement of $38.77 on the street betterment assess- ment on Lot A-8 on County Road. Lot is in name of Ruth Mathews. Hearing held at 8:30 P.M. on proposed drainage easement through lands of Partelow and Smith. Following persons present: Lawrence A. Partelow In favor John A. Smith In favor 72 Both owners requested additional filling over pipe. Voted to take easement as per plan. Signed taking of easement through lots F3 (Smith) and F4 (Partelow) . Voted abatement of $14.05 on April 1, 1944 water bill of the Reading Greenhouses. This is the Main Street bill only. Voted to authorize the employment of Kingman Abbott to make surveys for Post War Planning Projects. Authorized Superintendent to proceed with preparation of Post War Planning Projects.
