The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Davis, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent
Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Mr. George Elbaum, 17 Indiana Avenue, conferred with Board
relative to his three past water bills.
No action taken.
Received letter from Winthrop Parker relative to the
construction of a guard rail abutting the Parker property on Main St.
Received letter from Salvage Committee thanking the Dept.
for their cooperation during recent salvage drive.
Voted to purchase 24" belt for $30.00 for stock.
H. McSheehy, R. Morrow and A. Benton, departmental employees,
conferred with Board on following items:
A. Possiblity of receiving time and one half for
overtime during snow plowing.
B. Possibility of establishing uniform rates of pay
C. Possibility of payment for emergency employees
over weekends .
Board will take matters under advisement.
Voted to construct a guard rail abutting Hilts property
on Main Street opposite Federal Street.
Voted to reouest a transfer of $1, 500.00 to Snow & Ice
Account from various unexpended balances .
Voted to lay approximately 50 feet of 24^ pipe for A.
Christensen in the ditch in the rear of his greenhouses off
Sunnyside Avenue.
Voted to eliminate the guards at the Strout Avenue
Pumping Station.

Voted to purchase two Monarch Hydraulic Snow Plow pumps at .�
