Reading, Mass. , September 13, 1943
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Chairman Davis, Messrs . Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Following Granite Curb application received, approved, and
placed on file:
Herbert Beacham 14 John Street
Voted to send Caterpillar Tractor to P. I . Perkins for track
and wheel repairs. Estimated to cost $400.00.
Received letter from Planning Board announcing a general
meeting of Town Boards to consider a proposal to establish a Town
Capital Expenditure Committee.
Voted to hold meetings on alternate Monday nights beginning
September 13, 1943.
Received letter from Harriet Baker relative to the drainage
at her property at 32 Summer Avenue. Board will review conditions.
Mr. Brophy informed the Board of his intention to resign as
a member due to the necessity of his moving to Bristol, New Hampshire
for business reasons.
Board adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
