HomeMy WebLinkAbout1943-07-24 Board of Public Works Minutes 40 \ Reading, Mass. , July 24, 1943 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Tear and Superin- tendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted to retain Weston & Sampson to make a survey of river water conditions between the Pumping Station and the Harriman Tannery in North Wilmington. Survey costs not to exceed $250.00. Received opinion from Town Counsel that all persons working at least 32 weeks in any year must be granted a two-week vacation with pay the following year if they are still employed by the Town. Voted to overhaul the Model BG Tractor either at the H. F. Davis Co. or at the Department Garage. Board adjourned at 8:05 P.M. Respectfully submitted: (Signed) Edward A. Brophy Secretary
