HomeMy WebLinkAbout1943-06-21 Board of Public Works Minutes 34 Reading, Mass. , June 21, 1943 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P .M. Messrs . Davis, Lindsay, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted following pole locations : West St. - Poles No. 98/86 to 98/19 inclusive changed from T of R to J.O. Haverhill St. - Pole No. 40/56 changed from T of R to J.O. Voted to allot a sum of $50.00 for prizes for the 5th of July Field Day. Voted to omit regular meetings during July and August. Meetings to be held only at the call of the Chairman. ' Voted to hire an extra guard at the Pumping Station to cover time formerly covered by Auxiliary Police. Voted to give a one-week vacation with pay to all temporary men who are eligible under the following rule: A. An �employee must have worked for at least 25 conse- cutive weeks in each of the two consecutive years next prior to the year in which the vacation occurs . Board adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
