HomeMy WebLinkAbout1943-05-24 Board of Public Works Minutes 37 Reading, Mass. , May 24, 1943 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened. at 7:30 P.M. Messrs . Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. Teer acted as Chairman. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Received letter from the Town Counsel relative to the will of Ethel Grant. In brief the will stipulates that residue of estate be used for erecting either a fountain or swimming pool in Memorial Park or a fountain in the Common. Voted following pole locations: Haverhill St. - Poles No. 12/58 to 12/70 inclusive & Poles No. 12/72 to 12/96 inclusive & Poles No. 12/100 to 12/101 inclusive Poles No. 12/103 to 12/109 inclusive Poles No. 12/111 to 12/117 inclusive Pole No. 12/121 Poles No. 12/123 to 12/137 inclusive Poles No. 12/140 to 12/141 inclusive Pole No. 12/145 Poles No. 12/147 to 12/150 inclusive Poles No. 12/152 to 12/157 inclusive Poles No. 12/159 to 12/173 inclusive Stubs No. 12/1075, 12/1125 and 12/72A to be removed and locations abandoned by A.
