HomeMy WebLinkAbout1943-04-12 Board of Public Works Minutes 30 \ Reading, Mass. , April 12, 1943 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at ' 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Lindsay, Lothrop, Teer and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. Lindsay acted' as Chairman. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Received letters from Representatives Logan Dickie and Herman Peterson both stating that they have registered their opposition to House Bill 1334 with the Legislative Committee on Metropolitan affairs. Voted to write letter to Legislative Committee on Metropolitan Affairs registering the opposition of this Board to House Bill 1334• Received letter from War Production Board approving sewer extension on Pratt Street. Voted to charge two dollars and fifty cents per hour for tractor plowing. Messrs. Robert Morrow, Irving Nesmith and Albion Benton conferred with Board relative to the possibility of a paid sick leave for regular employees. Board adjourned at 8:45 P.M.
