HomeMy WebLinkAbout1942-10-05 Board of Public Works Minutes 14 Reading, Mass. , October 5, 1942 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at ' 7:30 P.M. Messrs. Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Lothrop, Tear, and- Superin- tendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted to purchase a flag and present it to the Auxiliary Police in recognition of their services as guards at the Pumping Station. Also voted to buy each member of the Auxiliary Police an individual lapel button. Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved, and placed on file: Arthur Tucker 35 Vine Street Thomas Carter 25 Auburn Street ' Voted to pay all temporary employees for holidays providing that they have worked at least two consecutive years and at least 25 consecutive weeks in each year. Voted to purchase a used coupe from the Laing Chevrolet Co. to replace the Superintendent's coupe. Next meeting of the Board will be held October 19, 1942.
