Reading, Mass . , June 29, 1942
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Davis, Brophy, Lindsay, Teer and Superintendent Welch
were present.
Received letter from Selectmen approving the employment con-
tinuation of John Logan and John Evans after July, 1942, when they
would ordinarily retire.
Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved
and placed on file:

fer of $1,000.00 from the Reserve Fund to the drainage project in
Wescroft Park.
Voted to confer with the Selectmen and Defense Committee in '
relation to establishing a routine and continuous salvage drive.
Following persons conferred with Board in relation to piping.

Received notice of hearing to be held by the State Dept.
of Public Health on July 14, 1942, at 11:30 A.M. on the proposed
taking of land by the Town of Reading from the Meadow Brook Golf
Club.
