Donahue, Harrison, Putnam, and Supt. Welch were present. - Records for meetings of November 28, December 12, and December 15, read and approved. Signed Commitment Sheets for 1949 Street BettermentAssess- ments. • Received letter from Selectmen stating that Percy Sweetser is the lower bidder on fuel oil requirements. Voted to hold next two Board Meetings on January 9, 1950, and January 26, 1950. Received notice from Personnel Board requesting a list of , employees and salaries for 1950. Discussed proposed list of salaries at length. Voted to submit list as agreed, a copy of which is attached hereto and herewith becomes a part of these records. Received letter from Mr. John Quimby, 24 Haven Street, re- questing change in Water Rates for Launderezy. Referred to Superintendent for study and report. Received petition from several abuttors requesting that Overlook Road be accepted as a public way. Placed on file. Signed order amending Sect. 4 of the Water Rules and Regula- tions, a copy of which is attached hereto and herewith becomes a ' part of these records. Board adjourned at 10:00 P .M. MASSACHUSETTS At a Meeting of the Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading, duly hold on Monday, December 12, 1949, at which meet- ing a quorum was present, it was unanimously voted to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Water Department in the manner followings Strike out Regulation 19B and substitute in lieu there- of the followings Section 19B Before any extension of a water main is made, the applicant shall pay to the Town, in advance, in cash, the sum of Two Dollars and Fifty Cents for each ruining foot of such extension.
