Donahue, Harrison, Walker, and Superintendent Welch were present. - Records of previous meeting read and approved. Hearing at 7:30 P.M. on following pole locations: Harvard St. - Two new locations - Pole 208/1 - 100 ft. - west of John Carver Rd. on South Side - Pole 208/2 200 ft. - west of John Carver Rd. on South Side Ash Street - One new location - Pole 2/40 - 180 ft. north of Town Line on East Side Mr. George McSheehy, Jr. appeared in favor of Harvard Street locations. Permits granted. ' Voted to make a taking of drain and sewer purposes through lands of Burns and Court off Pearl Street. Refer to Plan A-10-118. q, Signed Order of Taking for above mentioned drain and sewer taking. lA� Hearing at 7:45 P.M. on proposed taking for drain and sewer purposes thru land of Martorano off Forest St.-Refer to Plan A-10-119• Following persons present: Mr. Leon Martorano In favor Mr. Martorano signed Waiver of Claim for Damages in favor of the Town. Voted to make taking as above mentioned. Signed Order of Taking for above mentioned drain and sewer taking. Voted to abate in full, the Service Pipe Construction charge of Maynard Norwood for the service pipe recently installed for his new home at 570 Pearl Street. 1:x,:3 Voted not to provide funds for the purchase of prizes for the Recreation Committee program. Voted to serve notice on the Meadow Brook Golf Club that they shall water greens on alternate nights only. Hearing at 8:00 P .M. on proposed Taking for drain and sewer purposes off Pearl Street thru lands of Christenson, Morrison, Burley and Crocker. Following persons present: . Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Morrison Definitely Opposed No action taken. Mr. Eccleston, .who is developing Condor Road, conferred with Board about several matters relative to the development. Conferred with Messrs. Stratton, Emslie, Pierce and David, ' members of the Town Manager Committee. This Committee proposed many questions about the operations of the Board of Public Works. A general discussion of the operations ensued. The conference lasted about an hour and a half. Voted to buy one snow (large) plow. Received letter from Henry Price, 10 Gould St. , requesting an extension of the sewer in Gould St. to opposite his property. Placed on file. Considered request of Arthur Fredrickson, 266 Lowell St. , for an abatement on his January, 1949, water bill. Voted not to make any abatement. Board adjourned 11:30 P.M.
