Reading, Mass. , July 11, 1949
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P .M.
Chairman Calvin, Messrs . Donahue, Harrison, Putnam and Super-
intendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Mr. Ricker of 143 Willow St. conferred with Board relative
to the 4% guarantee water bill placed against his property.
Voted to cut guarantee in half.
Considered and discussed at length situation in relation to
water supply and consumption caused by record dry spell.
It was moved, seconded and voted to approve a new temporary
regulation for the water department establishing prohibitions on
' the use of water as follows:
Temporary Section 15A
A. Washing automobiles , trucks and any other
equipment of any nature.
B. Watering gardens.
C. Watering lawns.
D. Filling pools either stationary or movable
and whether large or small.
E. Using a hose, with or without sprinklers, as
a shower bath.
Voted following pole location: -
Oak St. - South Side - Pole 65/25 moved 23 ' easterly.
Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved
and placed on file:

Elizabeth Perry 75 Locust Street ,
Board adjourned 9:00 P.M.
