Chairman Putnam, Mr. Calvin and Superintendent Welch were present. Received letter from Finance Committee approving hydrant rental of $15.00 per hydrant for 1949. Anproved proposed underground fire alarm conduit and proposed fire alarm pedestals at the corner of Oak St. and Summer Ave. to serve the new primary school. Received letter from Selectmen requesting that 1949 budgets be presented by December 15,1948. Approved following pole locations: Hartshorn St. - Pole 36/10 moved 10 feet easterly , Pearl St. - Pole 70/46 moved 57 feet southerly Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received and placed on file: Jewel Baysinger 16 Highland Street. Received application from several abuttors requesting that Indiana Avenue be accepted as a public way. Placed on file. Received application from several abuttors requesting that Fielding Road be accepted as public way. Placed on file. Received application from several abutters requesting that the sewer be extended in Thorndike St. from Pearl St. easterly , approximately 250 feet. Board adjourned at 9:15 P.M.
