HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-02-24 Board of Public Works Minutes 46 Reading, Mass . , February 24, 1948 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Putnam, Messrs . Lindsay, Webb, and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of meetings held February 2, 1948, and February 16, 1948, read and approved. Voted to recommend to the Town the acceptance as public ways of the following private ways: Barrows Road - From Lowell St. westerly to Bradford Rd. John Carver Rd. - From Hartshorn St. northerly approx. 600 feet. Nichols Road - From Summer Ave. easterly approx. 332 feet. Pine Ridge Road - From Sylvan Road southerly approx. 728 feet. Oak Ridge Road - From present end of public way southerly approx. 400 feet. Voted to take easement for storm drain and sewer from Prescott Street to Nichols Road through lands of Willis, Batting, Simms and Corks. Signed reports for Town Meeting recommending the acceptance as public ways of the private ways mentioned above. Signed plans for the above-mentioned streets which are to be filed in the Office of the Town Clerk. Signed report to Town Meeting recommending the relocating or altering of the present northerly street line of Washington St. between Ash St. and High St. Signed plan showing the proposed relocation of the northerly street line of Washington St. between Ash Street and High Street which is to be filed in the Office of the Town Clerk. 47 Board adfourned at 9:00 P.M.
