HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-02-16 Board of Public Works Minutes 44 Reading, Mass. , February 16. 1948 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P.M. Chairman Putnam, Mr. Webb, and Superintendent Welch were present. Reconvened at 7:45 P.M. , the hearing on the acceptance of Nichols Road as a public way which was postponed from Feb. 2, 1948. Received letter from all abuttors agreeing to the following assessments if approved by the Board of Public Works: William R. Saylor $865.00 Henry Y. Porter 890.00 Harold J. Corks 475.00 Otis E. Simms 504.00 Total - $2,734.00 Rearing at 8:00 P.M. on the acceptance of a portion of Oak Ridge Road as a public way. Proposed acceptance extends approximately 400 feet beyond present end of public way. See Plan No. A-13-17. Following persons present: Mr. Bruce Sturges In favor Mr. Allan Sturges In favor Mr. William Lydstone, Jr. In favor Mr. Richard Dacey In favor Mr. Frederick Farrell In favor Hearing at 8:15 P.M. on the acceptance of a portion of Pine Ridge Road as a public way. Proposed acceptance extends southerly from Sylvan Road approximately 728 feet. See Plan No. A-10-101. Received letter from Charles Strout, 485 Main Street, Reading, claiming damages to his car were caused by truck operated by this Board. Board adjourned at 9:30 P.M.
