Putnam, Lindsay, Williamson and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. Putnam acted as Chairman. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Mr. Johnson, Chairman of Light Board to see Board in regard to location of curb at corner of Haven and Gould St. Hearing at 7 :45 P.M. for pole location at dead end of Lee St. Permit granted. Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on acceptance of a part of Vista Ave. as a' public way. Prom end of present public way to Sunnyside Ave. Following persons present: Clara T. Robinson - Vista Ave. Bernice S. Flint - Sunnyside Ave. Mussell A. Flint - Sunnyside Ave. All in favor Voted to recommend acceptance to Town. Hearing at 8:30 P.M. on acceptance of a part of Pinevale Ave, as a public. way. From end of present public way approximately 265 feet, Southerly. Following persons present. Lizzie V. Thorn - In favor Bernice Magison - In favor Lulu MacMillan - Against Stephen Meuse - In favor. Daniel MacMillan - Non Committal John R. Hall - Against Miss Cummings - Against Board voted to recommend acceptance to Town. Voted tosccept bid of E. B. Currell & Son on repairing fire dsmage to Mill St. 'umping Station shed and skating rink boards. , Letter received from A. L. Levin requesting permission to construct a step on the sidewalk in front of #4 Woburn St. Letter received from N.B.A. requesting prized for their Halloween Party. Town of Reading REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE LAYING OUT OF VISTA AVENUE EXTENSION ) The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading having determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require the laying out of a town way under the provisions of law authorizing the assessment of betterments , substantially in the location hereinafter described, having complied with all requirements of law relating to notice to the owners of land thereof and of a hearing thereon, and hav- ing met at the time and place appointed for such hearing and then and there heard all persons present who desired to be heard, have laid out as a town way for the use of the town running Easterly from the Easterly extremity of Vista Avenue as accepted as a Town Way March 21, 1932 to Sunnyside Avenue , substantially as and in the location of the private way known as Vista Avenue Extensions the boundaries and measurements of said way as so laid out are as follows: Beginning at a point on the Northerly side line of said Vista Avenue, at the North-Easterly extremity of Vista Avenue as accepted as a Town Way March 21, 1932; Thence N. 700-39t E. , by lands of Beatrice G. Perry, Genevieve B. Kingman, Russell A. Flint , and Bernice L. Flint , a distance of 298.75 feet to a point on the Westerly side line of Sunnyside Avenue; Thence turning and running S. 190-211E. , along said Westerly side line of Sunnyside Avenue, a distance of 40.07 feet to a point; Thence turning and running S. 70°-391 W. , by lands of Viola Miller and Sylvia C. Lewis, Executrices of and Trustees under _2_ will of George E. Lang, lands of Rawson A. Lufkin, and lands of Neil C. Robinson and Clara T. Robinson, a distance of 256.46 feet to a point marking the South- Easterly extremity of Vista Avenue as accepted aforesaid; Thence turning and running N. 190-211 W. , by the Easterly terminus of the previously accented portion of Vista Avenue, a distance of 40.0 feet to the point of beginning. The above described lines baing more fully shown on a Plan entitled "Extension of vista Avenue, Reading, Mase. . ," dated October 1939, Board of Public Works, Philip Welch, Supt. , said Plan being a part of this description. We determine that no damages will be sustained by any per- son or persons in their property by reason of the taking to be made for this improvement. All acts in connection with said laying out are done under the provision of law authorizing the assessment of better- ments , and betterments are to be assessed therefor. This laying out so made by us we hereby report to the Town for acceptance and recommend that said way shall thereafter be known as a public town way and named Vista Avenue, and that the sum of�five hundred, seventy and fifty one hundredths ($570.50))dollars be raised and appropriated for said laying out and for the construction of said way. Meuse, allengthi ofguist and 59.49 feetatosStephen a point of tangent ; Thence S. 180-35 '-20" E. , still by lands of said Meuse & ux, a distance of 35.62 feet to a point of curve; Thence in a general Southeasterly direction by a curved line having a radius of 734.09 feet , still by lands of said Meuse &ux, by lands of Earl H. agison and Bernice B. Rall and Jane M. Cummins, a length of 42.33 feet to a stone bound set at the South-Westerly terminus of Pinevale Avenue as accepted March 16, 1931; Thence N. 56°-241-20" E. , by the Southerly terminus of Pinevale Avenue as accepted March 16, 1931, a distance of 53.97 feet to the Stone Bound at the point of beginning.
