Reading, Mass., Sept. 22, 1939
- Therregular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at
7:30 P.M.
Messrs. Davis, `utnam, Brophy, Lindsay, Williamson and
Superintendent Welch were pros^nt.
Records of previous meeting read aid approved.
The following Granolithic sidewalk applications received,
approved and placed on file.
Edward Lappin, 20 Hillside Road -
William Delano, ,Jr. 98 6u ner Ave.
Voted to confer with Finance Committee in regard to buying
snow plow for new truck.
Voted pole location to Municipal Light Dept, and New ingland
' Tel. & Tel. Co, on East side of Winter St.
Mr. George Beasley to see Board in regard to conditions in
front of his lawn on Pearl St, because of Sewer Construction.
Voted to reimburse Orrin Dickinson for the balance between
his compensation and his regular salary from time of accident for a
period not exceeding two nonths.
Hearing at 8:00 P.M. under Board of Survey for acceptance
of lines and grades on an extension of Cape Cod Ave. Cape;Cod Ave.
as it now exists is a private way.
Mrs. Lillian Manning - prosent and in favor.
Board voted to approve lines and grades.
Received notice from Board of Selectmen of a Special Town
Meeting to be held October 17.

Approved new regulation for "star Department as follows-
Where two
ollows:Wheretwo services and meters are used to service a prop-
erty which, in the opinion of the Board of Public Works, is .used
for a single, individual purpose of a nature other, than residential,
the water bill shallbe computed as follows:
Both meters willbe read and the readings added together
and the bill figured as if only one meter had been read with the
exception that a charge of 03,00 every .six months will be made for
the extra meter, for which 900 cubic feet of water will be allowed
in the totalized amount of both meter readings.
