Reading, Mass., June 9, 1939
The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs. Davis, Putnam, Brophy, Lindsey , Williamson and
Superintendent Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Voted to install Granolithic Sidewalk in front of 15 Highland
St. Hearing was held June 2, 1939.
Voted pole locations on Middlesex Ave. to Municipal Light
Department as follows:

Following Granolithic Sidewalk application received, approved
' and placed on file :
Mechanics Savings Bank - Pleasant St. Frontage.
Voted to buy one dozen soft balls.
Voted a schedule of summer meetings as follows:
Beginning Friday June 9, 1939 Board will meet only on
alternate Friday evenings.
Voted to petition County Engineer Office to establish cer-
tain new locations and relocate certain bound points.
Voted tobay lawn sweeper.
Voted certain salary adjustments.
Voted to bay a Five Ton Sterling Truck.

Voted not to pay temporary employees, who are call fire-
man, while they are attending fires, Also permanent employees,
who are call fireman, are not to be paid while attending fires if
they are away from job for any extended period of time.
Board adjourned 10;20 P.M.
