Acting Chairman Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay, Williamson and Superintendent were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on underground conduit locations for Municipal Light Department on Linden St. - between Haven & Mt. Vernon Sts, and Sanborn St. - " it & Lowell Sts. " Woburn St. - " Linden & Sanborn Sts. it feeders off same. Locations granted. Dennis Meuse, 33 Winter St, to see Board in regard to drainage onto his property off street. ' Voted driveway location to Socony Gas Station at corner of Main and Hopkins St. Driveway to come out on Hopkins St. Following Granolithic Sidewalk applications received, approved and placed on file: Harriett Curtis - $8 Grand bt. Helen Dill - 32$ Summer Ave. Voted to install Granolithic sidewalks at Highland School and Lowell St. School in conjunction with W. P. A. - W.P.A. to furnish materials. Department to furnish men and equipment to mis and lay sidewalk. Voted to buy fuel oil from Percy Sweetser from June 1, , 1939 to Dec. 31, 1939. i 3s RULES FOR USE OF TENNIS COURTS General A. Identification cards will be issued by either the Board of Public Works or the Police Department , to any Reaident of Reading upon application. Singles A. In singles one of the two persons playing must be '.. a resident of Reading. Doubles A. In doubles two of the four persons playing must be residents of Reading. Special A. The Board of Public Works may issue special permits abrogating the above rules. These special permits will only be issued for particilea reasons and will state definitely the court to be used and the time of day during which the particular court may be used. 217 Voted to prepare and issue cards to Reading residents cer- tifying their residence in Reading.
