Reading, Mass., February 10, 1939
The regular meeting o£-the Board of Public Worke opened ,
at 7:30 P. M.
Messrs, Lindsay, Putnami Brophy, Davis and Superintendent
Welch were present.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Hearing at 8:00 P. M. on relocation of "outhwest corner
of Woburn St, end Copeland Ave.
No one present.
Voted to recommend relocation to Town Meeting in March, 1939.
Hearing at 8:15 P. M. on relocation of westerly side of
West St, beyond Longwood Road.
Lewis A. Pratt - Present - Non committal.
Voted to take relocation under advisement.
Considered articles for Town Warrant at some length.
Board adjourned at 9:00 P. M.

PROSPECT STREET

The Board of Public Works of the 'Town of Reading having deter-
mined and aujud'-ed that common convenience and necessity require the
layinrl out of a town way under the provisions of law authorizing the
assessment of betterments, substantialy in the location hereinafter
described, having complied with all requirements of law relating to
notice to the owners of land thereof and of a hearing thereon, and
having met at the time and place appointed for such hearing and then
and there heard all persons present who desired to be heard, have laid

out as a town way for the use of the town running Northerly from a
Public Town Way now known as Prospect Street, substantially as and in
the location of a portion of the private way known as Prospect Street
Extension, the boundaries and measurements of said way as so laid out
are as follows: \

line oi: said Prospect Street, said bound marking the
?:ortherly terminus of the ','esterly sideline of Prospect

Street as accepted as a Ton tray, narch 7, 1927, and
being N. 150-041 W. , a distance of 206.48 feet measured
along said 7,esterly sideline of Prospect Street, from a
Stone hound marking a point of tangent to a curve on
the Northerly sideline of Longview road;
Thence N. 150-041 t'i. , by lands of N:elville
Weston and Marion `1:eston, a distance of 184.00 feet to
a point;
Thence turnin6 and running N. 740-561 E. , across
the Northerly extremity of this layout, a distance of
49.50 feet to a point on the Easterly sideline of this
layout;

Whence turning and running S. 150-041 E. , by lands �
of Nellie G. Brovm and a portion of a Private 'd:ay known
as Woodbine t:treat, a distance of 184.00 feet to a
a point;
Thence turning and running S. 740-581 w. , by the
Northerly extremity of said acceptance of Prospect
Street dated March 7, 1927, a distance of 49.50 feet to
the Stone Bound marking the point of beginning. )

titled "Prospect Street, Reading, Mass. " dated r'ebruary, 1939, ;oard of
Public '', orks, Philip Ctelch, Superintendent, said Plan being a part of
this description.)
We determine that no damages will be sustained by any person or
persons in their property by reason of the taking to be made for this
improvement. All acts in connection with said laying out are done under
the provision of law authorizing the assessment of tetterments, and
betterments are to be assessed therefor.
This laying out so made by us, we hereby report to the Town for
acceptance and recommend that said way shall thereafter be known as a
Public Town Relay and named Prospect Street, end that the sum of!four
hundred and eighty (., 480.00) dollars)be raised and appropriated for said
laying out and for the construction of said way.

REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS GN THE LAYING OUT OF
BELMONT, STREET
The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading having deter-
mined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require the
laying out of a town way under the provisions of law authorizing the as-
aessment of betterments , substantially in the location hereinafter des-
cribed, having complied with all requirements of law relating to notice
to the owners of land thereof and of a hearing thereon, and having met
at the time and place appointed for such hearing and then and there
heard all persons present who desired to be heard, have laid out as a
town way for the use of the town running Northerly from a Public Town
Way now known as Orange Street , substantially as and in the location of
the private way known as Belmont Street Extension, the boundaries and
measurements of said way as so laid out are as follows:
(Beginning at a point on the Northerly side line
of said Orange Street , said point being N. 20-35- E. ,
a distance of 4C .04 feet , and due West a distance of
59 .50 feet , from a Stone Bound set at the South-East-
erly corner of Belmont Street and Orange Street ;
Thence the Westerly line runs Easterly and North-
erly, by a curved linehaving a radius. of 20.0 feet, a
length of 30.90 feet to a point of tangent;
Thence N. 10-291-30^ E. , by lands of Pearl F.
Messinger and lands of Minnola R. Tucker, a distance
of 454 .87 feet to a drill hole in a stone wall at lands
of Elizabeth Walker at al ;

at the South-Easterly corner of said Orange Street
and Belmont Street previously herein referred to;
Thence still due West along the Northerly side
line of Orange Street, a distance of 59 .5C feet to
the point of beginning.)

Public Works , Philip Welch, Superintendent , said Plan being a part of
