HomeMy WebLinkAbout1938-11-04 Board of Public Works Minutes 2$'6 Reading, Mass., November 4, 1938 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:3G P. M. Messrs. Lindsay, rutnam, Williamson and Superintendent Welch were present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Letter received from G. Delano, Chief Engineer, State High- way Department in regard to spending Chapter $00 funds for Curbing on Woburn St. Letter says request for approval of project should come from Board of Selectmen. Voted to request $200.00 from Finance Committee for sidewalks and curbings. Mr. McMillan, Malden, to see Board in regard to piping in ditch in rear of house he is building on Cross St. Board promised to pipe part of Ditch in early spring of 1939. Mr. Webster, 96 John St, to see Board in regard to cleaning ditch in rear of his property. Following S. W. application received, approved, and placed on file. Harold O'Brien, 99 Salem St. Signed contracts for Woburn St, and Lowell St. 1938 Chapter 90 Projects. Signed agreements with State Highway Department for snow polwing on routes 28 and 129.
