HomeMy WebLinkAbout1938-09-09 Board of Public Works Minutes 27T Reading, Mass., Sept. 9, 1938 The regular meeting of the Board of Public Works opened at 7:30 P. M. Messrs. Lindsay, Putnam, Brophy, Williamson and Superintendent Welch were- present. Records of previous meeting read and approved. Voted to ask Selectmen for W. P. A. funds for Grove St. Water Main Project. Mr. Flater and Mr.- Gibson to see Board in regard to a wading pool at Washington St. Park. They filed a lengthy petition signed by a large number of people in favor of same. - Following curbing application received, approved and placed on file. 1 Bert Cleveland - 206 West St. Following Granolithic Sidewalk application received; approved and placed on file. Bert Cleveland - 206 West St. Voted to buy Prestone for winter. Met with Finance Committee in regard transfers from Reserve Fund to Highway, Sidewalks, and. House Connection Accounts. Voted to hold hearing on Franklin St, widening September 23, 1938. Voted to pu chase a 1-ight weight centrifugal pump. Conferred with Selectmen in regard to Grove St. W.P,A.Water Main Project.
